England’s digital Homeless

A charitable hackathon came up with the idea of giving beggars on city streets a QR code on a laminated card with a lanyard. This scheme allows “hip” passersby, who don’t carry cash, to donate by scanning the bar code and entering the donation amount which is then credited to the homeless person’s account. The next step will be Facebook providing “certified” homeless barcodes that pay through the app and then alert the donor whenever they are close to a Facebook certified homeless person.

Vagrant #1- “What would you do buddy if you won the lottery?”
Vagrant #2 – ” I’d have the park benches padded”

A very religious and charitable woman noticed a poorly dressed man standing outside the bar at the corner of the street where she lived. One morning as she walked past the man feeling sorry for him she reached into her pocketbook, pulled out five dollars and gave it to the poor man saying, “Never Despair.”  The next time she walked by the man, he stopped her and gave her $50. Taken aback she asked, “What does this mean?”  “It means lady, “Never Despair” came in at 10 to 1.”

What do you call a drummer that breaks up with his girlfriend?  “Homeless”

I have been dating a homeless woman. It was easier to talk her into staying over.
