A Whale of Show for Watchers

A pair of humpback whales put on a jaw-dropping display as they lunged for food right in front of and next to a California tour boat in Monterey Bay. Whale watchers whipped out their smartphones to capture video of the incredible display, which some called “thrilling.” the whales were within “arm’s reach” of the boat — one even briefly grazed its side.

Humpback whales are a protected species and can weigh up to 40 tons and grow 60 feet long, The “big-winged” whales are a popular as they often jump out of the water and slap the surface with their pectoral fins or tails.

Teacher: “What’s the moral of the story about Jonah and the whale?”
Pupil: “You can’t keep a good man down!”

A fisherman was lugging a fish about as big as him down the pier to the wonder of the other guys standing around. Along the way he met a buddy who had a stringer with several fish on it. The proud fisherman dropped his oversized catch with a plop and said, “Howdy, Al” and waited for a comment. The fisher buddy looked over the beast and thought and thought then said, “only caught one, eh?”

Irving was boasting to a fellow fishermen about a 20 pound salmon he had caught. “20 pounds?” queired another guy, with skepticism. “Were there any witnesses?” “Of course,” said Irving. “Otherwise it would’ve weighed 30 pounds.”

Stan was tired of fishing, so he went back to the cabin for a nap and his wife decided to row out in the lake and read her book a little bit. While she was out there a game warden rowed up and asked her for her fishing license. She replied she did not have one. The game warden said, “I am going to have to write you a ticket then.” She replied as you can see I am reading and not fishing. The game warden said, but you have all the equipment and you are in the lake. She replied, “OK right the ticket and I will charge you the sexual assault. “you can’t do that I never touched you.” “Ah” she said, “but you have all the equipment.”
