Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, but don’t mail

Walker’s potato chips in England announced a program to have recyclable packaging by 2025. Ooops, bad idea, the environmentalist group “38 degrees” decided to protest the long wait by mailing the empty bags back to the company for them to recycle. Snack product bags are not mailable even with address labels and stamps on them. The British post office has asked protesters to stop the protest as the non-standard size and shape bags foul up the mail processing and make other mail greasy. One cooperative protest leader said he would use a recycled, standard paper envelope to send his bags in the future.

“According to a new U.N. report, the global warming outlook is much worse than originally predicted. Which is pretty bad when they originally predicted it would destroy the planet.”

Have you heard the one about the recycling bin with a sign that said, “Empty water bottles here?” Pretty soon the bin was full of water.

I don’t recycle because I don’t want to look like an alcoholic to my garbage man.

At the restaurant on the corner I asked, “What is this environmental blended coffee?” The waitress responded, “Recycled from yesterday’s and today’s.”
