Age is just a state of mind

A 69-year-old Emile Ratelband has filed a lawsuit against the Dutch government requesting that his date of birth be switched from 1949 to 1969. Ratelband compares his attempt to turn back the clock to identifying as transgender. “We live in a time when you can change your name and change your gender. Why can’t I decide my own age?” Ratelband told a court in Arnhem that having an official age that did not reflect his emotional state was a challenge for his career and love life. “I feel young, I am in great shape and I want this to be legally recognized because I feel abused, aggrieved and discriminated against because of my age.”

The hostess bent over and whispered to her lady friend, “You see that redhead over there? She is celebrating her 29th birthday.” Her friend responded, “Better late than never.”

A diplomat is a man who always remembers a woman’s birthday, but never remembers her age.

The husband explained, “How do you expect me to remember your birthday when you never look any older?”

Everyone my age is older than me…

I’m at the age where I have to make a noise when I bend over. It’s the law.
