Pennies from Heaven
Pennies from Heaven
It was a cold morning in New Jersey, the white stuff fluttered across the freeway. It was not snow, it was money: $20’s $50’s and even 100 dollar bills had blown out of a Brinks truck traveling down the freeway. Somehow another door had blown open in transit and people stopped to help pick up the mess. Reports estimate about $60,000 was spread across the freeway. Some of the folks that stopped helped the Brink’s guys pick up the debris some people just did their duty as environmental citizens and moved on. Keeping New Jersey clean.
Money can’t buy you happiness, but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery.
I walked past a homeless guy with a sign that read, “One day, this could be you.” I put my money back in my pocket, just in case he’s right.
Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back.
Work hard and save your money and when you are old you will be able to buy the things only the young can enjoy.
