Not so Silent Night
Not so Silent Night
What could be nicer on a December afternoon, than a rendition of Silent Night…Even if it was in a downtown Kansas City arena setting a Guinness World Record played by 835 tubas. The concert was part of the annual “Tuba Christmas” event organized by the Kansas City Symphony. The musicians ranged in age from 11 to 86 of all shapes and sizes.
One week after moving into his first apartment, Ed called his mother to complain about his neighbors: “One woman cries all day, another lies in bed moaning, and then there’s the guy that keeps banging his head against the wall.” “You better keep away from them,” his mother warned. “I am. I stay inside all day practicing my tuba.”
