Amazing Art in Corn
Amazing Art in Corn
What occupies 28 acres with almost 10 miles of trails and can feed a Kellogg factory? The Richardson Adventure Farm has one of the largest corn mazes in the world and likely the most artistic. “We said if we’re gonna do it, why not be the world’s largest?” George Richardson. In 2001, they built their first corn maze and started telling people to get lost. Every year a graphic designer creates an intricate schematic. There are as many as 80,000 visitors a year. Three pedestrian bridges double as landmarks. A series of 24 checkpoints guides you around. “We don’t want people to be lost forever, you know?”
I’ve never lost a single case in my career
I’m the best baggage handler at LAX.
One time at school, I lost my thesaurus.
I couldn’t find the words to describe how upset I was.
As I am getting older, I start to think about all the people I’ve lost along the way..
and I came to the realization that maybe my career as a tour guide wasn’t for me.
From halfway across the store, I could hear a mother calling for her son: “Jimmy. Jimmy.” I turned around a corner into another aisle and found a six-year-old boy by himself playing with some umbrellas. “Are you, Jimmy”? I asked. “Yes” “Did you hear your mother calling you?” “Yes.” “Aren’t you going to go to her?” He shook his head no, “she’s not hysterical yet.”
