Kody Kosloski of Michigan said he was participating in a sanctioned BASE jumping event off an Acapulco beach hotel when a gust of wind sent him crashing into the building seconds after jumping off the roof. Kosloski’s video camera was recording (see Source below) as he clung to the strap of his parachute, which was caught higher up on the building. While he was dangling above the parking lot, an older woman came out onto a nearby balcony. The senior woman took Kosloski’s hand and helped him onto her balcony, where he shouted to the roof that he was uninjured. Besides saving him she was kind enough to offer him a glass of water.
On the first day of training for parachute jumping, a blonde listened intently to the instructor. He told them to start preparing for landing when they are at 300 feet. The blonde asked, “How am I supposed to know when I’m at 300 feet?” “That’s a good question. When you get to 300 feet, you can recognize the faces of people on the ground” said the instructor. After pondering his answer, she asked, “What happens if there’s no one there I know?”
