Revenge of Weed Creatures

Trooper Chris Thorson shared a photo of Department of Transportation workers making their way through the piles of tumbleweeds in the dark. State Route 240 was closed in both directions near West Richland, Wash. Several drivers had to be rescued by snowplows. The tumbleweeds were piled between 20 and 30 feet high in some places. Five cars and one 18-wheel semi-truck where trapped in the tumbleweeds. No injuries were reported. Thorson said Wednesday that troopers found one abandoned car that was trapped in the tumbleweeds at daylight, but no one was inside.

A driver was stuck in a traffic jam on the highway outside Washington, DC Nothing was moving. Suddenly, a man knocks on the window. The driver rolls down the window and asks,”What’s going on?” “Terrorists have kidnapped the entire US Congress, and they’re asking for a $100 million dollar ransom. Otherwise, they are going to douse them all in gasoline and set them on fire. We are going from car to car, collecting donations.” “How much is everyone giving, on an average?” the driver asks. The man replies, “Roughly a gallon.”

I saw a sign that said, “Slow men at work.” I thought how awesome it was that the “Slow children at play” will grow up and find meaningful employment.

Traffic congestion increases in proportion to the length of time the street is supervised by a traffic control officer.

If all the cars in the United States were placed end to end, it would probably be Labor Day Weekend.
