5 year old goes for a Lamborghini

Around noon a Utah Highway patrolman tried to stop a car going 32 mph in a 70 mph zone. He thought he would be faced with an impaired driver, or maybe someone with a medical emergency. When he finally approached the car, he found a 5 year old boy on the verge of tears. The boy was sitting on the edge of the seat with both of his feet on the brake pedal. The trooper helped him put the car into park and turned the car off. The boy’s parents were at work and an older teen sibling was supposed to be watching him when he grabbed the keys and left. “He was determined to go to California to get a Lamborghini with the money he had in his wallet,” officer Street said. “Apparently, he didn’t realize you can get one in Utah.”

Young Driver Funnies

As a driver education instructor in Michigan, I’ve learned that even the brightest students can become flustered behind the wheel. One day I had three beginners in the car, each scheduled to drive for 30 minutes. When the first student had completed his time, I asked him to change places with one of the others. Gripping the wheel tightly and staring straight ahead, he asked in a shaky voice, “Should I stop the car?”

Martin had just received his brand new driver’s license. The family troops out to the driveway, and climbs in the car, where he is going to take them for a ride for the first time. Dad immediately heads for the back seat, directly behind the newly minted driver. “I’ll bet you’re back there to get a change of scenery after all those months of sitting in the front passenger seat teaching me how to drive,” says the beaming boy to his father. “Nope,” comes dad’s reply, “I’m gonna sit here and kick the back of your seat as you drive, just like you’ve been doing to me all these years.”

At dinner one evening, the 16-year-old student driver told her dad, “you’d better find out what that was wrong with the passenger door of your car, every time I drive, mother has to hold on to the handle.”

A young boy had just gotten his driving permit. He asked his father, who was a minister, if they could discuss his use of the car. His father said to him, “I’ll make a deal with you. You bring your grades up, study your Bible a little, and get your hair cut, then we will talk about it.” A month later the boy came back and again asked his father if they could discuss his use of the car. His father said, “Son, I’m real proud of you. You have brought your grades up, you’ve gone to church regularly, but you didn’t get hair cut!” The young man waited a moment and replied, “You know Dad, I’ve been thinking about that. You know Samson had long hair, Moses had long hair, Noah had long hair, and even Jesus had long hair.” His father replied, “Yes son, and they walked everywhere they went!”
