Our fans are robotic
Would you believe 20 robot cheerleaders put on a show for a 40,000 seat stadium and no fans were there to watch? The Japanese Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks put the robots in the stands to substitute for real human fans that were locked out because of the virus. The robots danced and sang to the team’s fight song on a podium in the empty stadium. Two kinds of robots shimmied and shook wearing Hawks caps and waving team flags. Some fans said the show was beautiful and a great way to motivate players during hard, uncertain times. These fans appreciated the joy that these robots brought and the smile they put on everyone’s face. Boosted by the supportive robots, the Hawks won 4-3 as they look to defend their 2019 NPB title.
Foul Ball Humor
Baseball, it is said, is only a game… true… and the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona.
Why does a pitcher raise one leg when he throws the ball?
If he raised them both, he’d fall down.
I love the fall. It gives me a chance to sit at home and watch the World Series.
Just like the Indians.
If I’d known I was going to pitch a no-hitter today, I would have gotten a haircut.- Bo Belinsky
