Rescue cats
A mischievous cat in eastern China is lucky to be alive after taking an unplanned spin in a washing machine. Jintiao, the adventurous feline, somehow climbed into the washing machine drum while the machine was running and spent more than 10 minutes being tumbled around. Miraculously, the only visible damage was a bright red nose and soggy, bedraggled fur, as reported by South China Morning Post. The incident was caught on video and shared on Chinese social media getting 217,000 likes.
After his ride, Jintiao stumbles out of the drum, shivering and drenched, as the owner looks on, hesitant to touch him for fear of worsening any injuries. Two days later, follow-up videos showed a fully recovered, lively Jintiao, pawing at the camera like nothing ever happened. Online, reactions ranged from horrified disbelief to sharp criticism. Some commenters accused the owner of negligence, saying it was irresponsible not to check the drum before running the machine or rush the cat to a vet. Others were more sympathetic, offering practical tips to prevent future “laundry adventures” and reminding pet owners to always check appliances for curious paws. With his dramatic escape behind him, Jintiao is reportedly back to his normal, playful self, probably plotting his next stunt—hopefully somewhere a little less spin-cycle-y.

Two sailors were adrift on a raft of planks from their sunken ship. They were sunburned, ungry and tired and had given up hope of rescue. One got on his knees and began to shout a prayer. “Oh Lord, I have been worthless in my life. I have been unkind to my wife. I have abandoned my children and lived sinfully, but If you will save me, I promise…” Just then the other sailor shouted, “Hold it, I think I see land.”
Toward the end of their senior year in high school, students were required to take a CPR course. The classes used the well known mannequin victim, Rescue Annie, to practice. Rescue Annie was legless to allow for storage in a carrying case. The class went off in groups to practice. As instructed, one of the students gently shook the doll and asked, “Are you all right?” He then put his ear over the mannequin’s mouth to listen for breathing. Suddenly, the student turned to the instructor and exclaimed, “She says she can’t feel her legs!”
