Jumping for joy
Tyler Phillips, a member of the U.S. XPOGO Team who uses the name Pogotyler, took the record on Guinness World Records Day. Tyler had to jump when his teammate, previous record-holder Dalton Smith, broke his ankle two weeks before his planned attempt for 2021. Watch the Instagram video inside the link below as Tyler sets the record. Dalton jumped four cars in 2019, so Phillips’ attempt featured jumping over 5 black London cabs at Olympic Park in London. The cabs Philip jumped over were nearly 6 feet tall and 5 feet wide. “It was an absolute thrill to watch Tyler in action – the height he can reach is astounding, and a powerful demonstration of his total mastery of the pogo stick.” Tyler now has the title ‘Most Consecutive Cars Jumped Over on a Pogo Stick’ to his name. “Wow, I am so stoked that I was able to break this record — I really wanted this for a long time, and it was pretty crazy being there this morning actually seeing the cars lined up when it finally felt real,” said Phillips.
