The Real Rocket man
On Bastille day in Paris Franky Zapata wowed the holiday crowd as he flew his “Flyboard Air” in the video below. The device is powered by five small jet engines and controlled by a handheld throttle. Zapata takes off after strapping himself into a pair of boots attached to the board. “We’ve created a new way to fly. … You’re like a bird. It’s your body that flies,” he said. Zapata said the device can run autonomously for around 10 minutes, and that he would need to make a refueling stop when he flies across the English Channel in two hops so he can refuel halfway.

Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.
My seatmate on a flight was a woman. Ever the charmer, I asked, “Does the airline charge you extra for sitting next to good-looking men?”
“Yes,” she said, “but I wasn’t willing to pay.”
I caught bird flu while waiting for a flight at the airport
I have since found out it is a terminal illness.
The bulk of mankind is as well equipped for flying as thinking.
