They were born smarter
Emily E. Bray, an animal behavior psychologist, has found that puppies are born with a knowledge of how to understand and communicate with people. Your pooch is hardwired to be a good dog and follow commands. “There was evidence that these sorts of social skills were present in adulthood, but here we find evidence that puppies – sort of like humans – are biologically prepared to interact in these social ways,” Not only that, the researchers discovered why some dogs are better at following orders than others. According to them, it all comes down to genetics. 375 eight-week-old puppies were put through a series of tests to establish whether their skills to socialize with humans were natural or learned. So, we now know that puppies know how to interact with people as soon as they’re born. In many ways, the puppies’ behavior compares to that of human children. “If you think about language learning, children can understand what we’re saying to them before they can physically produce the words,” Bray said. “It’s potentially a similar story with puppies.
Smarter than my human…
Two dog owners are arguing about whose pet is smarter:
#1: My dog is so smart that every morning he goes to the store and buys me a sesame seed bagel with chive cream cheese, stops off at Starbucks and picks me up a mocha latte, and then comes home and turns on ESPN, all before I get out of bed.
#2: I know.
#1: How do you know?
#2: My dog told me.
A dog walks into the unemployment office:
“I need a job.” He said, in perfect English.
Surprised, the clerk says “I’m sure the circus would be very interested in you. Shall I contact them?”
“If you like.” Replied the dog. “But why would the circus need an architect?”
I accidentally used the dog shampoo this morning,
I feel like a good boy.
Did you hear about how underfunded the dog schools are?
They only teach K-9.
