Understanding Russia

Many people are confused and concerned because of the on again-off again behavior of the Soviet Union during this stressful time of war and worldwide fuel supply shortages. Here are a couple of items that might help us understand why the socialist citizens feel neglected or even disliked:

Russians have the own version of Russia’s Got Talent. A contest on TV where the tough guys line up to slap each other until one of them is senseless or knocked down. The full-time farmer Vasiliy Khamotiskiy, a 300-pound slapper in his spare time, has attracted internet fame this year for his extraordinary ability to slap people senseless. Khamotiskiy, nicknamed “Dumpling” because he likes the food so much, won 30,000 rubles, or about $475, when he was awarded the male slapping championship at an event in Krasnoyarsk in March. His slapping winning streak was brought to an abrupt halt this month when he was slapped into a “mini coma” after he was hit so hard. Khamotiskiy was hospitalized briefly after the slap knockout but said he “liked” the shot that finished him. The video below may be too violent (or too stupid) for some viewers.

The second day of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas there was a terrible “accident.”  Russian tech company called Promobot reported that one of its model V.4 advertising robots was struck and irreparably damaged by a self-driving Tesla Model S electric car. The incident occurred in a parking lot outside the Consumer Electronics Show. A video caught the moment of collision and shows an individual trying to stand the robot back up. The model v4 robot that was to be unveiled by a Russian company was viciously attacked by a malicious autonomous American Tesla car. The indignant Russians tweeted: “Look @elonmusk- A Tesla Model S hitting and killing a guiltless robot in Vegas. Your car was under a full self-driving mode.” The video below shows the vicious American robot car collides with the Russian robot and then just drives away.

That felt funny

There were two flags flying outside a San Diego press conference to announce the coming of the Moscow Circus. The tag on the Russian flag said, “Made in the USA.” The tag on the American flag said, “Made in China.”

Q: What did the Russian people light their houses with before they started using candles?     A: Electricity.

I had a terrible dream of a dystopian future where robots controlled every aspect of our lives.
Luckily, I was awakened by my Tesla.

The Japanese invented a thief catching robot. After running successful lab trials they decided to test it. After deploying in Tokyo the robot caught 35 thieves in 24 hours.
Much impressed, the Brits ordered the robot for themselves. After deploying in London the robot busted 65 thieves under 8 hours.
The Americans, also impressed, ordered the robot and tried it in Chicago. After deploying the robot for about 30 minutes… the robot got stolen.
