Firefighters responding to call in Hamilton, New Jersey, had to work around a car that was parked directly in front of the hydrant. The first responders were creative. Because the fire hydrant was blocked, firefighters had to break out the windows of the Acura (pictured) and run the 8 inch hose through the front seat of the car to allow the hose to reach the flames. Responders quelled the one-alarm blaze within 20 minutes. The parked car’s windows will take longer.
