Firefighters responding to call in Hamilton, New Jersey, had to work around a car that was parked directly in front of the hydrant. The first responders were creative. Â Because the fire hydrant was blocked, firefighters had to break out the windows of the Acura (pictured) and run the 8 inch hose through the front seat of the car to allow the hose to reach the flames. Responders quelled the one-alarm blaze within 20 minutes. The parked car’s windows will take longer.
