Safer Online dating

Tinder is a dating app for smartphones. In essence: you input your first name, pictures,  location, phone number, email and your best features then the world is directed to come and admire you. The object of the app is advertising you as a possible romantic mate to assist people finding compatible partners. Like most of every process in modern life, evil people have found ways to use the information and the app to take advantage of people.

Allegedly, the biggest group being abused are women in search of a soulmate. Not only have they been financially abused, but in some cases sexually, beaten or murdered. This is not a good look for a cellphone app. The most common complaint is admirers that will not quit chasing the uninterested app user. In response Tender and its related companies Match.com, OkCupid and Hinge will offer instant background checks as part of the app’s. So in the near future, if you find a person (usually) that fits your romantic definitions you can click on a button that will do an instant background check to find if that person has a criminal record or has been reported evil earlier.

For years, dating app users have come up with their own ways to screen dates. They talk to each other and spread the word about problematic people. Lyft, Uber, Airbnb and other apps used to connect people in real life have similarly added safety features in recent years, often after significant criticism. Uber and Lyft said they would start sharing more information with each other about driver deactivations related to assaults. The use of police and riot data for background check is not intended to reduce the allure of flirting from a distance.

The other side of online dating

As a 13-year-old girl, online dating is a tough thing.
Every time I meet someone new, they end up in jail.

Never using online dating again. Last guy said he lived in a gated community.
He meant prison.

I recently came out as pansexual.
But I’m only attracted to cast iron.
I’ve tried dating Teflon, but it never sticks.

So I’ve been dating this homeless girl.
Things are getting pretty serious.
She asked me to move out with her.

I was dating a schizophrenic chick but
I left her cause she kept seeing other people.
