You think it was cold here

Russia’s Urals and Siberia, where temperatures recently plunged to minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit, have taken to social media to celebrate the cold. Hundreds of social media users have been posting photos showing people throwing boiling water into the freezing air and it instantly condensing into an elaborate pattern of ice crystals. Yakutia Media published a photo of Chinese students who got undressed to take a plunge in a thermal spring. Although students routinely go to school when it’s 40 below, school was canceled throughout the region this week.
