The American Social Bar & Kitchen in Miami had a great promotional idea that would appeal to one of its core audiences. The folks were boosters of American women’s soccer. So, they posted on social media “free shots” for every goal scored by the United States. The hook was the team’s record-breaking 13-0 thrashing of Thailand. This week revelers will only get one shot for all the American Women’s goal scored. “Our ‘free shots’ promotion is not meant to be taken literally, especially when records are shattered,” a furiously back-pedalling Paul Greenberg, of American Social, said in an email to Reuters.

 

I went to my girlfriend’s soccer match for the first-time last weekend. She kept grabbing the ball with her hands. She’s a keeper!
