Dogs are a Fisherman’s best friend
James White, of Rohnert Park, CA, was fishing with his dog Darby from the shore at Bodega Bay last month when he got a bite from something big and strong. He pulled and played out line because he was afraid the fish would get all his line if he did not tire it out. “It was about 10 minutes,” White told NBC Bay Area. “The only way I think I was able to get the line back is because it was swimming towards me.” It wasn’t until the creature got into shallow water that White realized what he had caught — a 6-foot long seven gill shark. White stepped into the shallows and attempted to remove the hook from the shark’s mouth, but it quickly sank its teeth into his ankle. White had noticed some other fisherman nearby and yelled out for help. That’s when Darby, who had been left in the car at the roadside, sprang into action. The pooch had somehow opened the car door and ran down to his owner. Darby first attempted to get the shark off White by biting into the shark’s gills. “Darby repositioned and grabbed it by the tail. Darby literally dragged it up the hill and pulled it off my leg.” White admits Darby’s heroic act has been dubbed a “fish tale.” “The first time I told somebody this, they were like, ‘You’re out of your mind, there’s no way that happened.’” Then I showed them the pictures.
Dog bites Shark
If you watch Jaws backwards….
It’s a heartwarming story about a shark who gives arms and legs to disabled people.
Having Shark Week is totally racist
because all I hear that week is Great White.
As a fisherman who has no idea what he’s doing, I don’t need to worry about the corona virus. I never catch anything.
A fisherman caught a fish so big that he dislocated his shoulders describing it.
