How much is that Doggy in my harem
Desteniey Pickett and her children were having a nice, sunny day at the zoo. Things got exciting when they got to the gorilla exhibit. They noticed a dog had somehow jumped into the enclosure and was wandering back forth trying to figure out how to get out. The humans were calling the dog and trying to warn him that the gorillas were behind him and coming to get him. The dog causally wandered to the other side of the concrete enclosure and then one, then two gorillas thought he was interesting. The children were yelling the gorilla’s name to try to distract him from the dog and the adults were filming on their cell phones. Thankfully, Zoo staff were able to move the gorillas into a separate area.
Another visitor, Robert Roles, captured the chaotic scene on video, which shows park staffers trying to bring the two gorillas under control. “They just started chasing after him and that was pretty nerve-wracking,” he told CBS 8 about the animals. “A lot of employees showed up from the zoo and they literally kicked us out.” The employees finally managed to coax the gorillas. “Our three Humane Officers were able to move in and safely leash the shepherd and bring him back to San Diego Humane Society’s Escondido Campus for evaluation,” she said. Samantha Clark the animal control officer from the city, told the news that she used a calm, friendly voice with the dog, who “just wanted to go out.” “I just met him, and he’s very sweet,” she said they named the pooch who had no tags or microchip “Mighty Joe Young.” “He was in a new environment with new smells. Obviously getting chased by a gorilla would make him nervous,” she said. “I would imagine the gorilla was probably more just trying to get the intruder out of their area, but I’m sure if he had put up a fight — he was probably ready to. Joe will be held for four days to give time for a possible owner to claim him before being put up for adoption, she added.
Oops, wrong place:
I took my 8-year old girl to the office with me on “Take Your Duaghtere to Work Day.” As we were walking around the office, she starting crying and getting very cranky, so I asked what was wrong with her. As my coworkers gathered round, she sobbed loudly…
“Daddy, where are all the clowns that you said that you worked with?!”
To start a zoo, you need at least two pandas, a grizzly and three polars.
That’s the bear minimum.
Did you see the new YouTube channel that’s nonstop footage of gorillas opening bananas?
It’s super ape peeling.
An insurance agent was writing a policy for a zookeeper. “Have you ever had any accidents?” “No,” said the zookeeper. “But once a rattlesnake bit me, And an elephant stepped on my foot.” “Don’t you call those accidents?” asked the insurance agent. “No,” replied the zookeeper, “They did them on purpose.”
