Shepherding your housekeeping

We all know about some of the jobs that dogs were bred to do, such as herding, hunting, and retrieving. But some working dogs have specialized jobs that are so unique only canines can complete them. Here are few unique jobs that man’s and women’s best friend is tackling:

Disease Detectors – sniff out COVID-19 and cancer

Truffle Hunters – finding the expensive mushrooms around tree roots

Art Protectors – A Weimaraner puppy, Riley, has been trained to sit down in front of an object when he detects the smell of a canvas eating bug.

Electronics Detectives – Now some dogs are used to detect electronics, such as a computer, a thumb drive, or a microchip a real time saver in police searches.

Lobster Catchers – Floridian Alex Schulze has trained his two Labrador Retrievers to swim down to 15 feet deep to catch lobsters on the ocean floor.

So far, the most goodest dog service is presented by Promise, the two year old Australian Shepherd who does household chores, from laundry to vacuuming. The Instagram post below will testify of this canine capability. Mary (“my aussie_gal,”) scripts, edits and posts video of Promise doing all the work around the house. In the video below Promise is seen doing every household chore you could possibly think of. The video begins with Promise at the main door as she bids goodbye to Mary, her owner, before she starts her chores. One user said, “I Showed this to my dog and she moved out.” In real life Mary and Promise split the housekeeping jobs at home.

Housework  Humor

Does a clean house indicate that there is a broken computer in it?

I want a job cleaning mirrors….
It’s just something I could really see myself doing.

Just finished my spring cleaning.
Sometimes I wish I’d never bought a Slinky.

I used to work in a fort cleaning the inside of cannons,
then they fired me.
