It is not unusual for Trumbull county sheriffs to encounter Amish buggies in the road. It is unusual for the Amish buggies to be out at 1 o’clock in the morning. The sheriff saw the buggy with its horse on along the shoulder of the road and stopped to check it out. He saw two men flee on foot into the woods when they saw him and the horse kept going. Which made it more conspicuous. The deputy found an open 12 pack of Budweiser on top of the buggy roof and a booming stereo system they had rigged up in the buggy. Apparently, these guys were taking their 18 year old sabbatical from being Amish and trying the wild side. The buggy was towed and the horse stabled until the fellows come forward to claim it and answer some questions. No mention was made of which music was on the stereo system.

There’s been a recent surge in the number of male crossdressers in the Amish community.
Be careful. Women you might see during the day, may actually be mennonite.
