Another reason to avoid California

A California family said a huge chunk of ice apparently fell from an airplane and put a 30 foot crack in the driveway. Angelica Coria said she and her family discovered the shattered ice ball in their Eastvale driveway. “Ice fell from the sky and we don’t know what happened.” Coria said the falling ice has made her “extremely fearful” of the planes that fly over her house each day. In nearby San Bernardino last December, a chunk of ice suspected to have fallen from an airplane, crashed through the roof of a home and a similar ice ball crashed through the roof of a home in Chino.

Why do the seats on airliners double as floating devices when they should double as parachutes?

Both optimists and pessimists contribute to the society. The optimist invents the airplane, the pessimist the parachute.

If black boxes survive air crashes — why don’t they make the whole plane out of that stuff?
