Has anyone seen this cat?
It is not uncommon to get lost in San Francisco, but it is more exciting when the lostee is a mountain lion. The disoriented cougar roamed the streets for two days until he was spotted by a police officer near Oracle Park. Cougars come in San Francisco about once a year. The animals come up along the Pacific Coast from the south hills, but eventually find their way back. Officers set up a perimeter and waited for animal control. They safely captured the 50-pound cat in an apartment building’s green area without the use of sedatives darts. Mountain lions leave their families after they are 2 years old, but this lion was younger, and it’s unclear what led him to leave its family. The big cat was examined at the Oakland Zoo before Wildlife officials released it at a wilderness preserve.

In Africa there is an old fable: There was a lion and bull and the Lion decided he was the better animal and attacked and ate the bull. He was so proud of his accomplishment that he stood up tall and roared and roared for all the world to hear. The hunter’s heard the roar and killed the lion. The moral of the story: When you are full of bull, keep your mouth shut.
A family of lions was watching the tourist come through the African Lion Safari park. The next car had two mother’s and about 8 kids all crammed into a van all wiggling. The papa lion turned to the mother lion and said, “Isn’t it a shame to keep them caged up like that.”
This Portland neighborhood is getting so bad that we had an incident at the zoo. A lion got out of its cage and was mauled by several protestors in the neighborhood before it could get back to safety.
