David Oliver had the beard and the belly, but no red suit. Most importantly he had the generous Christmas Spirit. Being indigent he was frustrated by not being able to share the joy with all those around him. So he took action. He walked into The Academy Bank in Colorado Springs and told them he was robbing the place. The teller gave him an undetermined amount of cash. David walked to a nearby park and began saying “Merry Christmas” and throwing money into the air. He then walked to a nearby Starbucks and waited for police to arrive. Completely in the spirit of the season, most of the free money was returned to the bank and David got warm safe accommodations for a few days.
