Never underestimate a cup of coffee

326 people were planning on a great vacation in Cancun Mexico when they left Frankfurt, Germany in an Airbus A330. The captain though wanted a hot cup of coffee at hand as he flew the plane. The cockpit had cup holders, but the company issued cups that were too small to reach the top of the cup holder. So, he put his coffee on the control panel. Oops, the coffee sloshed out of the cup and into the control panel. The cockpit filled with a strong electrical burning smell and smoke rising from the panel. The crew decided to divert rather than risk the liquid stopping some of the navigation electronics, so our German friends got to see Shannon, Ireland while they waited for a replacement plane.

As she boarded the pane a passenger asked the captain, “How often do these airplanes crash? He quipped, “Usually just once.”

Air Force One gets caught in a storm in Maine and crashes. Because most of the roads are out, it takes emergency responders a long time to reach the wreck. When they get there, they see a farmer. “Did you see the plane crash?” asked the EMTs. “Ayup. Sure did, buried them all too,” answered the farmer. “None of them survived?” “Well, the president said he did, but you know what a liar them politicians is.”

Who invented the first airplane that wouldn’t fly?
