Swim with the Alligators
Swim with the Alligators
Paul Bedard jumped into a swimming pool to subdue a “super mellow” alligator and was photographed holding the 8-foot, 8-inch reptile over his head. Paul said he was excited to receive the call about the gator in Parkland, Florida because it had been about a year since his last removal of a large alligator from a swimming pool. “These are actually fun because the gator can’t go anywhere and the water’s almost always crystal clear. So all I have to do is jump in the water play around with him until he’s tired. I can either hold his mouth shut and put a snare on it and tape it, or can get him tired enough where I can just pick him up without the tape and carry him out in the yard and then tape him up once I get there.”
On a stormy day at sea, a passenger on the pool deck kept watching the swimming pool as the water sloshed out first from one side of the pool, then the other. After a while, the captain walked by, and the passenger asked him, “Is it fresh water or sea water in the swimming pool?” The captain answered immediately, “It’s sea water. Didn’t you notice how rough it is?”
Q: Why did the blonde keep doing the backstroke?
A: She just had lunch and didn’t want to swim on a full stomach.
