Taking a Pole

Taking a Pole

A North Carolina woman had just dropped her daughter off at school and was driving home and she drove into a telephone pole. This happens occasionally, but this lady made it special. The woman reported her steering wheel locked up, and she lost control of her car. In the pictures from the source below you can see she was able to hit the pole with the front of her car and somehow flip the broken pole into her car’s back window. The Thomasville Police Department tweeted photos showing the car with a utility pole lodged in a backseat window where her daughter had been sitting. “No injuries, extremely lucky! Duke Energy said about 241 people were without power Friday while repairs were underway.

A man is driving with his wife at his side and his mother-in-law in the back seat. The women just won’t leave him alone. His mother-in-law says, “You’re driving too fast!” His wife says, “Stay more to the left.” After ten mixed orders, the man turns to his wife and asks, “Who’s driving this car – you or your mother?”

When my friend spotted a blind man and his guide dog at a crosswalk, she stopped her car and waved them on. “Oh, Cynthia,” I said, “he can’t see you. “I know that,” she said indignantly. “I was waving the dog on.”

The Sunday school teacher was telling the story of Lot’s wife who looked back while fleeing and was turned into pillar of salt. Little Johnny punctuated the story with, “My mother looked back once while she was driving and turned into a telephone pole.”

My wife had her driver’s test the other day. She got 8 out of 10. The other 2 guys jumped clear.
