Tara the child protector

4-year-old Jeremy was playing in front of his house when a neighbor’s dog came up and bit him and pulled him off his bike. In an instant Tara, the family cat, body-slammed the dog and turned to face it when the dog ran back home. Erica Triantafilo heard the scuffle and the crying and ran out to help her son.  Mom Erica tried to chase the dog off, and she was bitten, too. Jeremy was taken to a hospital where he received ten stitches. To celebrate the four-legged act of heroism, the Los Angeles SPCA decided to bestow their highest honor on Tara, giving her their 33rd Annual Hero Dog Award. Tara’s award marks the first time a cat has received the honor, and she got more than just a trophy and kitty bragging rights. The cat won a year’s supply of food from Purina, too.

Heroic humor for all

If I’m being subjective, I’d say that the greatest hero in Science Fiction is “Doctor Who.”
But if I’m being completely objective… I’d say it’s “Doctor Whom.”

Thought I saw my first ever super hero today, he was running down our street wearing a cape.
Turns out he hadn’t paid for his haircut.

My kid wanted to be a super hero for Halloween but he got in trouble so I made him go as a sack of wheat flour.
He was a gluten for punishment.

When watching movies…
I tend to hold my breath to see how long I can go while the hero is underwater..
I almost died during “Finding Nemo”.
