Beware of crying little people

23-year-old Trayshaun Smith, was visiting a girlfriend in Lafayette, IN. While the relationship seemed cordial and friendly, apparently one member of the family was not with the program. The police report says: “A 3-year-old child at that location accessed a gun and fired one round striking two people. Neither injury was life threatening.” Perhaps in a cry for attention, the child shot both his 21-year-old mother and the mother’s friend with the same bullet. Trayshaun was taken to Franciscan Health Lafayette East hospital. When a gunshot wound was identified the police were called and Trayshaun was found to have an active warrant for murder in Chicago and arrested. The Indiana Department of Child Services was contacted about the child gaining access to the gun but “no immediate action was taken,” As of Monday morning, there haven’t been any additional arrests or charges regarding the toddler accessing the gun or why the adults were ignoring the child to the point of his demanding attention. Police departments in Lafayette and Cook County are working together on the murder arrest, police said. No calls for an award for a junior G-man have been surfaced.

Meanwhile in Perth, Australia another toddler was complaining loudly. So loudly that a neighbor walking by was distracted and jumped to action calling the police when he heard the man in the house repeatedly yelling, “Why don’t you die?” and a toddler screaming. The neighbor called the police emergency number. “Multiple police units responded with lights and sirens,” the reports said. A law enforcement communication log that included the initial emergency call, followed by an update 15 minutes later that said, “Police spoke with all parties who advised that husband had only been trying to kill a spider (he has serious fear of spiders).” The log said the man “apologized for inconvenience to police” and that there were “no injuries sighted (except to spider)” and “no further police involvement required.” The reports did not identify the man, or the type of spider. Australia has one of the world’s highest populations of spiders compared to its number of people, and biologists have said a Southern Hemisphere summer heat wave has raised the likelihood of finding arachnids indoors. No guns were involved.

Shots of Humor

The government offered to buy my guns from me.
After a thorough background check of the buyer, I am not comfortable with selling weapons to organized crime.

My friend was bragging his new 3D printer can print a gun.
I wasn’t impressed, I’ve had a Canon printer for years!

Biden will NEVER get my guns.
I keep them upstairs.

My wife asked me why I carry a gun around the house.

“To fight the AI snooping,” I said.
She laughed. I laughed.
The toaster laughed.
I shot the toaster.
