Not so sneaky snake

Conservationist and python hunter Mike Kimmel, also known as ‘Python Cowboy’, bagged an enormous female python measuring nearly 18 feet long and weighing about 150 lbs. Kimmel is a contractor with the South Florida Water Management District, said he caught the snake in an Everglades spoil island in the Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area earlier in the week. Video posted on Instagram account shows him wrangling with the python and bleeding from his arm. Pythons, invasive and hungry, have virtually eliminated small mammals in the wilds of Southern Florida. Last month Florida decided to double its number of paid snake hunters and agreed to work towards opening up hunting access to more state and federal lands. The Python Action Team has now captured 900 invasive Burmese pythons.

Snakey Humor Uncoiled

A spider a snake and a kangaroo walk into a Sydney bar
it was just a normal day in Australia

I used to be jealous of Harry Potter for being able to talk to snakes.
But it turns out, in government I’ve been doing it for years.

I never understood why people are so scared of snakes
They’re completely unarmed

What do you call a snake that bakes?
A pie-thon.
