Porch Pirate Pests

More than one third of packages delivered to homes go missing, 1.7 million boxes per day. We have all seen pictures of the thieves walking up and taking the stuff, but it is not only people. Noemi Gutierrez was on her front porch with her family in Avondale when they spotted a squirrel approaching an Amazon package that had just been dropped off to a building across the street. The squirrel grabbed the package and carried it to the roof of the building. If you think squirrels are bad, how about dogs. In the video below the neighbor’s dog can be seen sniffing around the brown box before grabbing it with its mouth and dragging it next door. Not to be outdone there is a video of a bear visiting porches when they get their dog food delivered. The little black bear in the video below is a regular. Lest you think this larceny is limited to mammals there is video from Florida of an alligator shopping the front porch at night. How about keeping the alligator on the front porch, that would at least deter the other porch pirates.

Squirrely jokes

Groundhog Day: “This is one time where television really fails to capture the true excitement of a large squirrel predicting the weather.”

I just got thrown out of my local park for arranging the squirrels by height…
Apparently, they didn’t like my critter sizing.

Amazon just got approved for drone delivery.
We now have skeet shooting with prizes.

Where do squirrels go in a hurricane?
All over the place!
