Diamonds are forever if you take care of them.

Raquel Aiken had a long-term relationship with her fiancé and they had agreed to formalize the arrangement, so he gave her a very impressive diamond engagement ring. Before they married unfortunately, he died. Raquel kept the ring and wore it. Until it was gone. After a game of tennis she looked in her purse for the ring and it had disappeared. She scoured the grounds and the usual places to no avail. Lucky for her she had friend at KDVR-TV. When they heard the story, they thought it was a good draw for the news. One of their female reporters stood on the tennis court and asked the TV audience to help this poor girl. (link 1 Below) Raquel offered a reward. In the ensuing couple of weeks lots of folks shared Raquels story especially at the Brewery Bar II where Raqel and her fiancé had been regulars.

Dude Olguin was tending bar when he heard a couple of the other regulars talking about the story and it turned out he had a part time job at the tennis club and had found a ring in the mud outside the courts a few days back. Dude wondered if the ring he had picked up could belong to the girl on TV. He was tempted to try to fence it or at least take it to a jeweler to see if it was real, but when he heard the story, he changed his mind.  “But really, my faith told me just to hold onto it and just wait and listen.” Dude asked Raquel to meet him at the restaurant. “He went to his car, he came back and there was the ring. Immediately I was in tears, I couldn’t believe it. I mean, it’s just, it’s a miracle.” She said the return of the ring was especially meaningful, as her fiancé, Tim, was especially fond of Brewery Bar II before his death. “It definitely reconnected me again with my fiancé,” Raquel said. “The fact of where it was found and how it was found and an employee that works here at a place he loved. The whole connection is really, really amazing and a true blessing.” Dude declined a reward for the ring’s return. “I told her, the payment for me is our friendship, like that’s all I really needed was her to know that she had a ring and we’re going to be lifetime friends,” Olguin said.

Lost in the laughter

A lady lost her purse. It was found by an honest little boy and returned to her.
Looking in her purse, she commented, “Hmm, that’s funny. When I lost my bag there were 3- $20 bills in here. Now there are 2- 20’s a ten and 2 fives.”
The boy replied, “That’s right, lady. The last time I found a lady’s purse, she didn’t have any change for a reward.”

If anyone ever tells you they’ve lost their voice….
They’re lying.

My uncle is mad that he lost his job to an illegal immigrant.
It took him forever to find a job that neither requires a third grade education nor a background check.

An officer on patrol found a man walking back and forth up and down the street of three clock in the morning. He asked, “What are you doing here?” The man explained, “I forgot my key, officer, and I am waiting for my children to come home and let me in.”
