You can trust me, I’m famous

Bernio Jordan Enzo Verhagen is a Suriname-born con man with a Dutch citizenship. Verhagen has amassed an impressive list of charges for fraud. His modus operandi was defrauding by creating fake agents who would sell him as a famous European soccer player. Posing: Verhagen rented hotel rooms, hired yachts, and dined in high-class restaurants. When it came time to pay the bill, he would promise the funds through a fake electronic wire transfer. Verhagen told them since it was an international transfer, it might take a few days. But then Verhagen ran into two prostitutes. When it came time to pay the women for their services, the prostitutes didn’t accept a wire transfer. Enraged that Verhagen couldn’t produce the money he’d promised them, the prostitutes attacked him. As they beat Verhagen on Santa Marta’s Rodadero Beach, a crowd gathered around them and called the cops. Verhagen is currently awaiting extradition to the Netherlands to get his just desserts.

The judge asked the accused, “How could you swindle these good people who trusted you?” The perp explained, “Your honor, you cannot swindle people who don’t trust you.”

“In China they say piracy is so rampant that there are at least three fake Apple stores. It’s hard to put these people out of the business. If China arrests them for selling fake Apple products, they’ll be sent to prison where they will be forced to make real Apple products.”

A guy sees an ad in a pet-shop window: “Talking Centipede $100.”
The guy goes in and buys it. He gets home, opens the box and asks the centipede if he wants to go for a beer.

The centipede doesn’t answer, so the guy closes the lid, convinced he’s been swindled. Thirty minutes later he decides to try again.

He raises his voice and shouts, “Do you want to go for a beer?”

The centipede pokes his head out of the box and says, “Pipe down! I heard you the first time. I’m putting on my shoes!”
