And you thought smoking was dangerous
We all choose our own poisons. Americans have been brainwashed with anti-smoking commercials and public service announcements since the 1960’s. Here are some stories that demonstrate it is not only what you are smoking that can light up your life. Most of us have seen pocket lighters for smokers. They are usually disposable small containers of brightly colored plastic that are filled with butane gas under high enough pressure to keep as a liquid. In the US we generally consider these things disposable and when they don’t fire up we throw them away. Some people are not into the disposable thing and buy brands of these butane lighters that can be refilled. Even Walmart will sell you a can of highly pressurized butane with a squirt nozzle that allows people to refill their pocket lighter with the fuel gas for continuing use.
A shocking video has emerged from Spain that shows a massive explosion in one of the washing machines at a laundromat, which blew up the entire building. The explosion took place moments after a lucky man left the premises. The undated video was caught by CCTV installed inside the building. The short video below shows the man coming out of the laundromat with multiple bags of laundry while the washing machine runs in the background. Seconds later, the door of the washing machine opens, some clothes fall out and an explosion follows turning multiple machines into fireballs. The incident took place at 7.30 pm, no one else was in the store, but the explosion was heard by many people living in the area. They immediately dialed the Spanish emergency number 112 calling for a fire brigade truck. Investigators claimed that one of the washing machine users left a clipper – lighter recharger inside their clothes and the tossing of the washing machine caused the explosion. The lucky customer leaving was not injured. The fire officials tore down the front wall saying it was a security risk and suggested rebuilding the entire structure.

On his first day of Army basic training, my husband stood with the other recruits as the sergeant asked, “How many of you are smokers?” Several men raised their hands.
“Congratulations,” he said. “You just quit.”
One poll says 73% of Americans favor raising the cigarette tax. It’s only fair. Since smokers aren’t around as long as the rest of us, they should pay more while they’re here.
A mature man is stopped by the police around 2 a.m. and is asked where he is going at this time of night. The man replies, “I am on my way to a lecture about smoking and alcohol abuse, as well as staying out late.”
The officer then asks, “Really? Who is giving that lecture at this time of night?”
The man replies, “That would be my wife.”
