Peanut is in a jar
Animal rescuers in New Zealand tracked a cat on the loose with a plastic peanut butter jar stuck over its head. No one knew the cat or how it got stuck, but the sympathetic calls came in daily to save this poor trapped feline. They tracked the cat for two weeks of close call escapes. Finally, a homeowner was able to corner the cat in her yard and the workers captured him with a noose. “We took him to the vet, and they had to sedate him to get the jar off. He was pretty skinny. He had been two weeks without food or water and would have had only a tiny bit of air getting in.” Anneliese of the rescue crew said the cat, now dubbed “Peanut”, is recovering from his ordeal and will be placed with a foster family.
