That’s a real Happy Meal

The palatial McMansion was built in 1795 as a farmhouse for Joseph Denton, a descendant of one of the founders of the town of Hempstead, New York. It has served multiple functions over the years before falling into disrepair in the late 1900s. The dilapidated building was subsequently bought by the McDonald’s corporation around 1985, which planned to bulldoze it so they could erect a McD’s in its place. The town’s residents, campaigned for years to stop McDonalds and save the mansion, as it was one of the few historic buildings left in the town. After preservationists got the building designated a historic site in 1988, McDonald’s capitulated and got creative. Its historic landmark status means the chain can’t make significant changes that’s why the building’s structure is almost the same as it was 30 years ago. Today Newlyweds have even staged wedding pictures there.

Hamburger Humor

Me: Welcome to McDonalds, can I take your McOrder?
McDonalds Boss: “Again*(rubs temples) you don’t need to put Mc in front of words.”
Me: “Oh OK: (…to next customer) welcome to Donalds.”

The first high definition photos and feedback have been received from the Mars rover, Perseverance. As I predicted, it has found a McDonalds with a drive-thru lane, and a Walmart Supercenter. It has also started receiving calls from telemarketers.

A woman goes to McDonald’s
Woman, slurring her speech : “A vodka please!”
Employee: “Ma’am, this is a McDonald’s.”
Woman: “Yeah, yeah, alright. McVodka then.”

I saw a sign at McDonald’s, it said, “We do not accept bills over $50.”
Trust me, if I had more than $50, I wouldn’t be eating at McDonald’s.
