Eager Beavers stop the internet

Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia is a town with about 2,000 people. Half the folks in town were very upset with the Canadian National Animal last week. A group of eager beavers shut down internet service over the weekend after they chewed through fiber cables and used them to build their home. The cable provider “Telus” said, “beavers chewed through our fiber cable at multiple points, causing extensive damage. Our team located a nearby dam, and it appears the beavers dug underground alongside the creek to reach our cable, which is buried about three feet underground and protected by a 4.5-inch thick innerduct.” Sauvé said that the beavers chewed through both the conduit and the cable in multiple locations. Telus said that a crew worked “around the clock under challenging conditions” to fix the issue. The service provider described the 36-hour outage as a “very rare and uniquely Canadian disruption.”

Bang tail comedy

Beavers are great dam builders and Canada’s national animal.
That’s why Canada is the best damn country in the world!

What did the male beaver say to the female beaver when she said she wanted him to build something nice for her?
“Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a dam.”

What does a French beaver call her home?
“Madame”

A rabbit and a beaver are looking up at the majesty of the Hoover Dam
And the beaver says to the rabbit
“Well I didn’t build it, but it’s based on my design.”

Big dam deal: At roughly 2790 feet long, the world’s largest known Beaver Dam was discovered by satellite imagery in Canada’s Wood Buffalo National Park. This structure is more than twice the width of the Hoover Dam.
