The only McDonald’s in the world

The bright yellow “M” for McDonald’s is one of the most recognizable logos in the entire world. “The Golden Arches” has become synonymous with McDonald’s itself. The only McDonald’s in the world that does not have “golden” arches is in Sedona, Arizona, the arches you see there are turquoise! Sedona is famous for its mountainous landscape of red rock. Because of the landscape’s ability to attract tourists, there are rules in place for buildings in Sedona to make sure that no structure conflicts too much with the surrounding natural scenery. The city claimed that golden arches would diminsh the surrounding red rocks, and mandated some different color. Sedona also dictated height restrictions and that the blue arches are also lower on the front of building than other McDonald’s locations.
