Stop the noise

Airline traffic has mostly recovered from the plague lockdown. Unfortunately for everyone, the airlines laid off so many people that in many cases they cannot get enough crews back to cover flights when there is a change in the scheduled system. As the number of flights increased so have the number of complaints. This week the flight attendants breathed a sigh of relief as the government was forced to let go of the mask mandate on airplanes. Masks alone caused more arguments and fights than anything else on the plane.

But outside the plane the number one complaint is noise. One particularly annoyed person in Ireland made over 12,000 official complaints against Dublin Airport in 2021, which averages out at around 34 complaints every day. The unidentified complainant, from Ongar in northwest Dublin, issued over 90 percent of all complaints about noise at the airport in 2021. Understandably, most complaints came from residents living in the flight path of aircraft in northwest Dublin with the majority of them being about the evening and nighttime flights.  It was reported that aircraft that depart from Dublin Airport are supposed to adhere to a “noise preferential route” that involves either maintaining a straight line of travel for five nautical miles or hitting an altitude of 3,000 feet before turning. Dublin is not the only place with frustrated neighbors, the video below explains a way a couple of guys have found to automate their complaints to the American FAA.

That darn Airport

A DC-10 had an exceedingly long roll out after landing when his approach speed was just a little too fast.
San Jose Tower:  “American 751 heavy, turn right at the end, if able.  If not able, take the Guadeloupe exit off of Highway 101 and make a right at the light to return to the airport.”

The first airplane that couldn’t fly was invented by who?
The Wrong Brothers.

If you can’t afford healthcare…
Go to an airport. They give free x-rays and mammograms, and if you mention al-Qaeda, they’ll throw in a free colonoscopy too!

In his welcome aboard message, the pilot says:
“Airline West Jet is pleased to announce we have some of the best flight attendants in the business. Unfortunately, none of them are staffing this flight!”
