Dinner bonus

Kindergarten teacher, Keely Hill grew up in Kansas City and was a big beef eater until she moved to New Orleans. After a while she tried and liked the sea food in abundance down in the “Big Easy.” She had been eating her oysters at Basin Seafood. One night her group went out to Superior Seafood and she ordered 6 oysters. She was chewing and felt something crunch. On investigation she found a crushed pearl. Luckily, she didn’t swallow the rest. “I bit (the oyster) in half and felt them on my tongue. I definitely ate one, I crushed it in my teeth.” They counted 12 little pearls from that dish. Her oyster shucker, Superior Seafood staffer Jordan Gallet, said, “The most I ever got was nine. I counted them myself. I was shocked.” Gallet shucks about 2,500 oysters daily but finds only one or two pearls a week on average. Hill intends to have the pearls she found put into a ring as a nod of affection to her late aunt Cathy.

Foody Jokes

A tourist was visiting a small native village when he came across a native man proudly displaying twenty alligator teeth slung about his neck in a decorative fashion.  “I guess you must prize alligator teeth the way we value pearls,” said the tourist.  “More so,” said the native. “Anyone can open up an oyster.”

The patient was in some distress lying in the examination table of the doctor office. “What do you think is the problem, Mr. Smith?” “I don’t think those oysters I ate are agreeing with me.”  “The doc asked, “Were they fresh?” “How would I know if they were fresh?”  “How did they look when you opened the shell?” The patient looked quizzically at the doc and repeated, “Open the shells?”

Why do people put leftover food in Tupperware?
Because they want to throw it out, but just not for a few days.

When I was a child my parents would pretend food was an airplane.
They would make me wait for weather delays to eat.

My Chinese waiter thinks all white people look alike and gave my food to the wrong customer.
Wait. Never mind. That wasn’t my waiter.

Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.
