Mighty Meows

When an 83-year-old woman fell down a 70 foot ravine in Cornwall, England. Her cat helped rescuers find her. The woman had been missing for over an hour, and concerned neighbors called emergency services. Police went searching for her, but it was a neighbor Tamar Longmuir who heard a meowing cat that located her. Tamar recognized the cat, “Piran,” meowing loudly, calling them to the injured woman and she directed medics. Rescuers then saw the woman had fallen into a stream at the bottom of steep hill. Rescuers lifted the elderly woman up the ravine on a stretcher and flew her to a hospital in an air ambulance. She is in stable condition at the local hospital. An eyewitness said the key to finding the woman was Piran’s “quite persistent” meowing at the top of the ravine. “It’s a massive ‘well done’ to all the emergency services who worked together and to Piran. The outcome could have been a lot worse.”

The cat’s Meow

There was a stray cat in my driveway this morning, it meowed at me, so I meowed back…
…now I’m nervous because I’m not sure what I agreed to.

Nature abhors a vacuum, but not as much as a cat.

When a cat wins first prize at a dog show it is a
A cat-has-trophy.

What’s it called when a cat meows for food when their bowl is half full?
