West Virginia has been getting some publicity recently involving starlets and dog’s posteriors, but Tori Yorgey demonstrates what toughness and dedication make the Mountain State “Almost heaven.” Tori was a up and coming TV reporter for the station in Dunbar WV a few days back. Since the station was very small, she did not get her own camera man. She set up her own remote weather/traffic report from the roadside with camera on a tripod and her standing in the street, microphone in hand.
When the news host went to her remote no more had she started talking but a white SUV clipped her and knocked her and the camera over as well, all live. The best part as you can see in the clip below Tori kept broadcasting from the ground and while getting up she righted the camera and completed her report to the terror and then laughter of both the station staff and the folks watching. The camera, now on its side, still captured Yorgey saying, “Oh, my God! I just hot hit by a car. But I’m okay! I just got hit by a car but I’m okay, Tim!” Irr seemed unfazed: “Well, that’s a first for you on TV, Tori.” Yorgey could be heard telling the concerned driver that she wasn’t injured. “You know, that’s live TV for you,” the reporter said. “It’s all good. I actually got hit by a car in college, too, just like that. I am so glad I’m okay.” The station host asked where she was hit, to which Yorgey replied, “I don’t even know, Tim. My whole life flashed before my eyes, but this is live TV and everything is okay.” The show must go on, West Virginia tough.
Q: What does daylight saving time mean in Seattle?
A: An extra hour of rain.
According to a news story, if global warming continues, in 20 years the only chance we’ll
have to see a polar bear is in a zoo. So in other words, nothing is going to change.
On a fishing trip to a remote lake in Northern Quebec, I asked the outfitter, “Do you stay here during the winter?” “No,” he said. “The snow gets too deep. We can’t get supplies in. Like many Canadians, I go south for the winter.” “Oh,” I said. “Where do you go?”
On a weather forecast in Russia reporter said it was -50C in Yakutsk.
A guy from Moscow says to his wife:
Guy:- They are overreacting, I’ll call my cousin who lives there, and he’ll tell me the truth.
He calls his cousin and asks,
Guy:- What’s the weather like where you are?
Cousin:- It’s around -20C I would say.
Guy:- I knew the news were lying, they said it was -50C.
Cousin:- Oh, well it might be outside.
